God of Revival
God of Revival - Pastor Sue Detweiler
Jesus has a purpose and a plan. Every problem that exists on earth, God has a solution in his mind this very moment. He looks for His people to pursue His plan on the earth.
His presence in us manifests His glory through our lives. What gets us through difficult times is that God has a promise and a hope for us. We don’t ignore challenges. However, if I face these challenges without God’s solution and promise drains my hope. Somethings are revealed clearly in Scriptures, and some we need to search out.
Proverbs 25:2 “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”
Racism is evil. To treat people with dishonor because of the color of their skin is foolishness. To escalate that to violence is evil. We need to stand with those who have suffered under it’s weight. Our commitment to protect and stand with those who have been marginalized. This has to stop.
Pentecost and How it Came About - Acts 1
During these encounters, he taught them the truths of God’s kingdom realm 4 and shared meals with them. Jesus instructed them, “Don’t leave Jerusalem, but wait here until you receive the gift I told you about, the gift the Father has promised.” Acts 1:3-4 I promise you this—the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces—even to the remotest places on earth!” 9 Right after he spoke those words, the disciples saw Jesus lifted into the sky and disappear into a cloud! Acts 1:8-9
WAITING prepares for GOING.
Sometimes we are so filled with fear, we can’t find peace. When that happens we need to find Jesus.
Jesus gave great commission (Mathew 28) — Authority He’s given us authority, we need to wait on the power. The gospel of the kingdom of God is not in word only but in power. Power for the miraculous. Power to overcome the impossible situations of life. To demonstrate the resurrection of Jesus through signs, wonders, and miracles. He clothes us with His power and presence.
